Special General Council meeting Sunday, June 26 11 a.m. Tribal Community Center Tribal Council nominations 2 JUNE 15,2011 Dear Smoke Signals: I want to compliment the staff who chose the picture representing the month of June 2011 on the Tribal calendar. The picture of individuals who have achieved their goal in acquiring their GED represents the whole picture of Tribal Restoration. To see the fruits of labor is truly a blessing. All of us have adversity in our lives, sometimes getting us off the path to obtain goals, but it also gives a desire to develop courage to make a positive change in life. The Tribal programs which offer support to heal and maintain a healthy lifestyle have been utilized by many individuals, including myself. I am not talking about cash from per capita, but the true desire to use the advan tages of Tribal programs to make a difference in a long-term lifestyle. How blessed we are. Margo Ordaz Roll No. 885 (Editor's note: Tribal photographer Michelle Alaimo and Tribal Graphic Artist George Valdez selected the photos that appear in the Tribe's 2011 calendar.)
