Grand entries will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, 1 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. Master of ceremonies will be Nick Sixkiller and whip man will be Tony Whitehead. Veterans dancers and members of the public are invited to attend. There will be arts and crafts and food vendors. Free camping and parking will be available, but no drugs, alcohol or pets will be allowed. Congress enacted the program, known as termination, in the name of "freeing" the Indians from government restrictions and improving their quality of life. However, removing the fedrraJ status oi more than nine dozen tribes across the country plunged many of their nearly 13,000 members into deeper levels of poverty and eroded the tribal people's sense of Native identity.
