" In an effort to more efficiently and more rapidly communicate with Tribal members, the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde is asking Tribal members to register at the Tribal Web site and allow the Tribe to electronically send them news updates, e-zines and PDFs of Smoke Signals, among other news and informational items. To register, go to www.grandronde.org. Click on the "Log in here" link in the upper right-hand comer. Enter your user name and password, and click the "login" button, or if you are not registered, click the link below the login button to register with the Web site. If you have registered with the site before and have forgotten your login information, you can click the link to recover it by providing the e-mail address that you verified when you registered with the site. If you have not registered before, you will need to do so to view the Tribal member-onlysectionofgrandronde.org. . First-time users will need to fill in the required fields and click the register ', button at the bottom of the form. After you click the "register" button, you will need to check the e-mail ad dress that you provided and click on the link in the e-mail that our system sent to you. The e-mail should arrive moments after you click the register button. If you do not see an e-mail you will want to check your junk mail folderspam filter. She has been executive director of the Tribal Housing Authority since it was created in 1996. 1995 In preparation for the Oct. 17 grand opening of Spirit Mountain Casino, Tribal members were invited to an open house to be held on Oct. 16 that would offer informal tours, but no gaming. 1990 Mark Mercier, Margaret Provost and Larry Brandon were elected to Tribal Council on Sept. 8. Mercier garnered the most support with 124 votes, while Provost received 108 votes and Brandon tallied 92. 1985 Enrollment Clerk Margo George reported that 117 appli cants were approved for enrollment into the Grand Ronde Tribe. Eugene Tribal Wellness Program meets during week The Eugene Tribal Wellness Program meets at 10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. All levels of fitness are welcome. The program covers strength, cardio and stretching, and discusses strategies for healthy living at home. The program is free to Tribal members and their spouses. H Jan Michael Looking Wolf Band to headline at awards ceremony NAMMY continued from front page the Year and Single of the Year, as well as Best Rock Recording for "Breakin' Free," Best Music Video for "Breakin' FreeAddiction" and Best Producer, along with Donald Blackfox and Shawn Justice, for "Breakin' Free." "We are so excited because the multiple nominations for my band make Kenny Ann Lewis' son a NAMMY nominee as well," said Reibach, who works as the Tribe's Lands Manager with Ann Lewis. "Now we have two Tribal mem bers who are national award nomi nees." The Jan Michael Looking Wolf Band also is scheduled to headline at the Nov. 12 awards ceremony. "We are jamming a couple songs off the 'Breakin' Free' CD with scenes from the music videos play ing on the large screen and will say some words to promote Native youth drug and alcohol abuse pre vention," Reibach said. "As you know, last year I was named Artist of the Year at the Native American Music Awards. We promised that if I won that then we would use the notoriety to reach out to Tribal youth. Thank you for all the love and support of the music over the years." Other Jan Michael Looking Wolf Band members include Tim Yett, Keith Sommers, Nathan Myers, Pat McDermott and Ledhead Ned. 0 How to vote for NAMMY winners .
