Penny DeLoe named Member Services manager By Ron Karten Smoke Signals staff writer There's a new toaster oven in town. In the Governance Center kitchen, to be exact, and it comes courtesy of Tribal member Penny DeLoe, who has moved in as the new manager of Member Services. She brought the toaster over from Tribal Ar chives, where she was the Records Management specialist, because it helps her fix meals that are healthier to eat, she said. Leaving the job at Records was "probably the hardest decision I ever had to make," she said. DeLoe is a woman who has tubs at home for each of her children with every record, award, photograph and clipping about the children the family ever ran across, including their birth hospital bills. Going back through the many jobs she has had with the Tribe since beginning in 1994, DeLoe was immediately able to pull out a pile of Per sonnel Action Notices that come from Human Resources for each job change. She is a natural for keeping the Tribe's records straight. "I can't always remember what's on my grocery list," she said, "but if I've seen a document, I know where it is or I can find it." DeLoe said, however, that the attraction of working with Tribal members is what led her to apply for the Member Services position. See DeLoe continued on page 7 Photo by Michelle Alaimo Tribal member Penny DeLoe recently took over as the Tribe's Member Services Department manager. It didn't take her long to set up her office, which includes pictures of her grandchildren on her desk.
