Many people and departments supported me throughout my education. First, my family, wife Donna, and sons Saghaley and Inatye, as well as daughter Jamie, provided the most support, allowing me many long hours away from home to complete the Ph.D in Anthropology. The Education Division in particular was extremely supportive. Dean Azule, Marion Mercier and Luhui Whitebear helped me at various times through my three degrees at the University of Oregon. In addition, the Tribal Council and the Culture Committee were very supportive, helping me in my quest for information about Tribal history and about the Termination of the Tribe. My dissertation on Tribal Termi nation is now available at the Tribal Library for people to read. Many Tribal members contributed to this history, including Laverne Bean, Cheryle A. Kennedy, Kathryn Harrison, Don Day, Bob Tom, Ivan Jeffers and Betty Reid. In addition, I had broad support from Tribal members from other Oregon Tribes. Thank you all for your support over the years and continued sup port as I use my education to benefit the Tribe.
