B Support group forming A support group for parents and caregivers of Grand Ronde chil dren with special needs is forming. If your child, grandchild, foster child, etc., has extra challenges medically, emotionally or developmentally and you would like to collaborate and share resources with other parents, send your contact information in an e-mail to lewis.dmcomcast.net or call David and Donna Lewis at 503-566-3093. Lewis said the support group is starting with compiling an e-mail and telephone contact list and will later coordinate meetings with group members. Basket Weaving class set Tribal Elder Sam Henny will teach a hemp basket weaving class for the Cultural Resources Department from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13 and 20, in Education Room 126 on the Tribal campus in Grand Ronde. Participants need to bring scissors and a sack lunch. Cost is $25 to cover the expense of materials. D Nazarene Church sDaftes groundbreaking The Grand Ronde Church of the Nazarene is holding a groundbreaking ceremony at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the church, 8775 Grand Ronde Road. Arsonists burned the church to the ground in July 2007 and construction plans call for a new 5,600-square-foot church to be built on the site. C-08-07-002 ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE In the Matter of: TEMBY, Mclinda Petitioner, For TEMBY, Gary Minor The Petitioner, Melinda Temby, on behalf of Gary Lee Temby, a minor child, has petitioned the Court for a Change of Name for the minor child. It is alleged that Petitioner, on behalf of the minor child desires to change his name to Gary Lee Campbell, for the reason stated that: minor child, through regular use, has become known by the proposed name. Based on the foregoing petition filed with the Court on July 15, 2008, and good cause appearing therefore, IT IS ORDERED THAT the petitioner and any person objecting to the granting of the petition shall appear in the Tribal Court of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon, located at 9615 Grand Ronde Road, Grand Ronde, Oregon on, Octo ber 1, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. to show cause why the Court should not enter judgment granting the proposed change of name. The Clerk of the Tribal Court shall cause a copy of this Order to be served upon all parties in accordance with the Rules of Plead ing, Practice and Procedure of the Tribal Court of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon.
