14 JULY 1,2008 Smoke Signals Grand Ronde Tribal members only We will be taking orders for the Nike N-7 shoe. The Nike N-7 Na tive shoe is wider with a deeper toe box. This shoe was designed with input from Native Americans over a time span of two years. The shoes are only available in the wide width. Price for the shoe is $48 per pair and if anyone wants them shipped it is an additional $7.50 per pair. Orders will be placed the second week in July and will take three to four weeks to arrive in Grand Ronde. C-08-04-004 Richard ORDER AND DECREE Petitioner, OF NAME CHANGE Based on the allegations set forth in the petition for Name Change filed on April 28, 2008, by the Petitioner in the above entitled case and its supporting affidavit, and the testimony of Petitioner, THE COURT FINDS: 1. The Petitioner is over 18 years of age; 2. The Petitioner is an enrolled member of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon; 3. The Petitioner has not petitioned and been granted a change of name by the Tribal Court with in the past twelve (12) months; 4. AH persons entitled to notice have been properly served with a copy of the Notice for Name Change, and; 5. - No objection to the. petition has been filed by any creditor or former spouse of the Petitioner. " " Based on the foregoing findings, THE COURT DECREES: 1. That the name of the Petitioner be changed from Richard Jacob Minjarez to Richard Jacob Nelson; 2. That the Clerk of the Tribal Court shall cause a copy of this order to be published in the Tribal Newsletter; 3. That the Clerk of the Tribal Court shall submit a certified copy of this order to the Tribal Enrollment office; 4. That the Petitioner shall surrender all old Tribal Identification cards bearing Petitioner's former name to the Tribal Enrollment office prior to the Enrollment office issuing Petitioner new Tribal Identification cards bearing the Petitioner's new name; 5. That within sixty (GO) days from the date of this order the Tribal Enrollment staff and if necessary the Tribal Enrollment Committee shall cnuse new Tribnl Identification cards to be issued to Petitioner showing the new name of the Tribal member and shnll change the official membership roll and all official enrollment records of the Tribe to reflect the Petitioner's new name as stated in this Decree; (5. RSVP required. Eugene: Chinuk Wawa classes are ongoing on Thursdays. Beginning Regalia will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12 and 19, and participants need to sign up with Cultural Education Specialist Misty Thorsgard. Portland: Chinuk Wawa classes are ongoing on Wednesdays, as are Carving classes. Beginning Regalia will be offered 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Mon day, July 7, 14 and 21, and Moccasin Class will be offered 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 15, 22 and 29. Participants for the regalia and moccasin classes need to sign up with Thorsgard in advance.
