I I 1 The 24th annual Restoration celebration of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde started at 11 a.m. Nov. 18 inside the Community Center with a feast. Above, Tribal Council members Jack Giffen Jr. and Wink Soderberg shared a joke while Tribal Elder and Restoration key player Kathryn Harrison looked on. About 500 people enjoyed the feast, which featured entrees of salmon and pot roast. Tribal Food Service coordinator Kristy DeLoe, left, was busy in the kitchen, preparing a new cut of salmon as supplies dwindled throughout the three-hour feast. Center, 4-year-old Amaryssa Mooney enjoyed a bite of salmon during lunch. Above right, 9-month-old Najeh Washington remained oblivious to the eating and socializing around him as he slept in a traditional baby wrap. Below Washington, Tribal Council members Kathleen Tom and Giffen shared a moment while, right. Queen Nekoosa Moreland, left, and Princess Goldie Bly prepared drinks to serve to feast attendees. Below right, Kelly Vaughn showed off a pen set from Spirit Mountain Casino, which was gifted to all feast attendees along with casino bathrobes.
