Graduation Sponsorship Program is available to Grand Ronde Tribal members who are graduating from a high school, collegeuniversity, or trade apprenticeship program. The program will pay up to $100 towards graduation expenses (cap, gown, andor announcements). Admission and Testing Fee Assistance Program is available to Grand Ronde Tribal members who are applying for admission to colleges and universi ties or are in need of testing fee assistance for college level testing. The program will pay up to $200 towards admission and testing fees per academic year. Saturday: 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Statistics for Aug.: 16 new cards issued; 508 patron visits; 459 circulations; 29 donations and 1 12 computer users in the 23 days of service. August 20 - Sept. 20: Hop basket and book exhibit in the Tribal Library. Culture Resources dept. staff, Kim Mueller, compiled several photo books that contains family pictures of people work ing in the hop fields. People in the many of the photos have not been identified. We would appreciate any help you can provide in identifying people in the pictures. Banned Book Week is Sept. 29 - Oct. 6. The Tribal Library will have a small exhibit featuring banned books, and "The Freedom to Read and the Library Bill of Rights" information. Book Club: Book club will only meet one time per month begin ning in Sept. Book Club will be held on the second Saturday of the month from noon 1:00 in the library as follows: Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8. On Oct. 13 we will be listening to an Audio Book of Native American Coyote Stories as told by Michael Lacapa. These are lighthearted stories interwoven with soothing flute music that can be enjoyed by all ages. Poetry Recital Reading: The Poetry group will continue to meet on the second Wednesday of the month from 6 7:30 p.m. in the Tribal Library (Note time change) beginning in September as follows: October 10, November 14 and December 12. Saturday Activity: For K- 3rd grade youth is held on the fourth Saturday each month from Noon - 1:00 in the Tribal Library as follows: Sept, 22, Oct, 27. The sessions will be held on the third Saturday in Nov. & Dec. due to the holidays as follows: Nov. 17 and Dec. 15. December activity may be held in conjunction with the Tribal Christmas Party. Many new selections have been added to the Tribal Library col lection holding which is at just less than 7,000 items. The library appreciates contributions made by the CTGR K-5 Program. We added approximately 200 new titles to the children & youth collec tion that was donated by the K-5 Program.
