NOTICE Monthly Tribal Council Meetings 2 APRIL 1,2006 TIME DATE April 5 April 19 .5 p.m. .5 p.m. (3'3iili'i fTreQ Attention Tribal Members The Ad-Hoc Enrollment Requirements Committee was appointed in August of 2005 by Resolution 071-05. Since then, the committee has been meeting twice per month. The purpose of this committee is to research current and past enrollment requirementsseek input from Tribal members and develop recommendations to Tribal Council for possible changes to the Tribe's enrollment requirements. The committee plans to have the recommendation complete by Septem ber, 2006. - :, ' Committee members are as follows: Chairman Debby Larsen, Vice-chairman Khani Schultz, and Secretary Marilyn Portwood, and members, Barbara Feehan, Diana Norton, Nancy Renfrow and " Duane Wheeler. The meetings are usually held on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 1 p.m. at the Grand Ronde Education Building. The committee will also be holding community meetings in several towns throughout Oregon and Washington sometime this Spring please watch for dates and places to be announced in Smoke Signals. The committee encourages Tribal member & descendant partici pation, therefore, dedicates the last 30 minutes of each meeting to hear from those affected by the 1999 enrollment amendment. Good. Your gift of funeral expense money and funeral luncheon money were greatly appreciated. The beautiful table centerpiece from Tribal Council and staff was lovely and it touched our hearts. We are very grateful for our Tribal family's help and caring in this time of distress and grief. Everyone we spoke to on the phone was professional, respectful and helpful in the enrollment office and in the insurance office. Just to know our Tribal family is with us makes the way easier.
