The Veteran's Memorial Ad Hoc Committee will be hosting a fundraising pancake breakfast on Saturday (June 23) and Sunday (June 24) during the Spirit Mountain Stampede. The breakfast, which will include pancakes, sau sages and eggs, will take place from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Tribal Commu nity Center. The cost for breakfast is $3.50. Money raised from the break fast will go towards the planned Veterans Memorial in Grand Ronde. ' The memorial will honor men and women, Tribal members and non-Tribal member Veterans from Grand Ronde, Willamina and Sheridan. The project is scheduled for completion in 2003. Call to Construction Workers Tribal members seeking employment in the construction field please con tact Eric Scott at 503-879-2404, Please provide your name, enrollment num ber, phone number, type of work sought (unskilled laborer, carpenter, ma son, ect.), and any special skills or experience you may have. The Public Works department is putting together a list of interested persons that will be distributed to contractors selected to do work on Tribal projects. PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS The Tribal Council in consultation with the Tribal Attorney's Office has proposed amending the Tribal Court Ordinance to set forth procedures for the Tribe's Court of Appeals. The amendments include establishing qualifications for Court of Appeals judges and procedures for assignment of Court of Appeals cases. The first reading of the proposed amendments to the Tribal Court Ordinance was presented at the May 30, 2001, Tribal Council Meeting. For a copy of the proposed Ordinance amendments, please contact the Tribal Attorney's office at (503) 879-2265. Tribal Council invites comment on the proposed amend ments.
