a Tribal member and non-member the award will go to the Tribal member. In the case of a tie
involving Tribal members a random drawing will be held. This will also apply if a tie occurs
between non-members with high bids.
Bid Submittal: Bids will be accepted from April 9, 2001 until 5:00 p.m. on April 24, 2001.
All bids are to be submitted as sealed bids.

NR Seeking Wildlife Technician
The Grand Ronde Natural Resources
department is seeking a wildlife techni
cian to conduct surveys for northern spot
ted owls and marbled murrelets in west
ern Yamhill County, Oregon.
The position would run from April 16 to
September 14, 2001.
Applicant must have the ability to hike
in difficult terrain and work in adverse
weather conditions. Previous experience
with owl andor murrelet surveys pre
ferred but not required. Position would
also assist the Tribes' Fish and Wildlife
department with various assignments.
Requires a BS degree or progress to
wards a BS in wildlife biology or closely
related field. Job will pay $11-12 per hour
depending upon experience.

The Natural Resources department of the Confederated Tribes of Grand
Ronde, in cooperation with Oregon Youth Conservation Corps, seeks a
youth crew leader and six youth crew members for its Summer Youth
Crew program. These positions are designed and funded for the purpose
of providing enhanced opportunities for youth or students.
YOUTH CREW LEADER
$10.50 per hour. Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Approximately 12 weeks, starting June 2001
CLOSING DATE: THURSDAY MAY 24, 2001.
DUTIES: Supervise and provide leadership to a six-person summer youth work
crew for eight weeks and assist the Fish and Wildlife Department for approximately
four weeks. Youth crew projects may include stream restorationenhancement,
trail and park maintenance, native tree and plant plantings, forest inventory, or
other natural resource and community projects.
QUALIFICATIONS: Desire to work with youth andor in natural resources. Must
be in good physical condition and be able to work in rugged outdoor terrain. Expe
rience in the proper use of hand tools.
REQUIREMENTS: Work boots, valid Oregon Driver's License, safe driving record.
Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test.
YOUTH CREW MEMBER
$6.50 per hour. Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Approximately 8 weeks, starting June 25, 2001
Closing date: THURSDAY JUNE 7, 2001.
DUTIES: Work as a member of a six-person summer youth work crew. Youth
crew projects may include stream restorationenhancement, trail and park mainte

community projects.
