What school did you attend? Graduated from South Salem High School. What were your favorite subjects in school? Child care, math and RE. Why did you want to participate in Royalty? "So I could meet new people, see new and different cultures and learn more about my culture." What do you do in your free time? Attend Royalty activities and attend pow-wows. What do you want to do after high school? I want to work for the Tribe and increase my knowledge about my culture. What future events will you attend as a member of Royalty? Cowlitz Pow-wow, Restoration Pow-wow, Town Hall meetings, Gathering of the Nations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Silitz and Warm Springs Pow-wow, Rose Festival Parade, Grand Ronde and Veterans Pow-wow, Piumsha Pow-wow in Idaho. I wanted to participate in Royalty because I thought it was fun and I wanted to represent my Tribe. What do you do in your free time? Spend time with family and friends, sports and clubs. What do you want to do after high school? I would like to go to college and study psychology and have my own business someday. What future events will you attend as a member of Royalty? The Royalty group usually attends the Chemawa Pow-wows, Warm Spring Pow-wow, Siletz Pow-wow, Grand Ronde Veterans and Annual Pow-wow, the Rose Festival and many more. "Because I like to go to pow-wows and go to the parades." What do you do in your free time? Before and After Care, play, watch TV, do homework. What do you want to do after high school? "I want to go to college to become a nurse." What future events will you attend as a member of Royalty? I will attend Restoration Pow-wow, Veterans Pow-wow and the parade in Portland, and other pow-wows. What future events will you attend as a member of Royalty? RE. and math Why did you want to participate in Royalty? "I wanted to represent Grand Ronde, meet new people and learn how to speak in public and just have fun." What do you do in your free time? " I like to play, draw pictures, play with my cat (Cheka) and my new puppy (Chinook)." What do you want to do after high school? "I want to go to college and become a writer or become a singer." What future events will you attend as a member of Royalty? We are hoping to travel to New Mexico and our family always goes to the Grand Ronde Contest Pow-wow in August. My family and I would also like to say a special thank you to my Aunt Diane and Uncle Dave Smith, Aunt Colleen and Uncle Jerry, Becca and Kyle Payne, Aunt Charlotte Hardaway, and my teacher Chrissy Payne, Aunt Dixie, Aunt Tina and Crystal Holmes, Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Mack Ballew. Thank you for always helping get onto the dance arena and your never ending support and love. My family would also like to say in memory of Grandma Pat Lomboy, and Uncle Larry Holmes. You are so loved and so missed.
