MAY 15, 2000 11 Brandon dreams of the Olympics By Justin Phillips Tribal member Jonathon Brandon's dream of wrestling in the Olympics comes closer each day. Brandon, a senior at Estacada High School, maintains a G.P.A. of 3.5 and has wrestled his way to the top of his weight class. He credits success with student effectiveness training (SET); a class taught at Estacada which helps in setting and achieving goals, perseverance and maintaining a positive attitude. "The SET class really helps out a lot and helps me stay focused on my goals," Brandon said. Brandon recently attended the High School Nationals Wrestling Tournament in Pennsylvania. Bran don placed in the top 16. He has also placed 2nd at the Oregon State High School Wrestling Tournament three times. Brandon has been accepted at Oregon State University where he plans to major in sports medicine and v"' V ( Jonathon Brandon finish his education at Pacific Uni versity, where he will still continue to wrestle.
