REJOICING IN THE SEASON Right: The Tribe's annual Christmas party and dinner was held on Dec. 19. With a little help from Language Specialist Tony Johnson, tribal chil dren were able to sing Christmas carols in both English and Chinook jargon to the family and friends gathered at Grand Ronde Elemen tary School. V Bid announcement for road maintenance The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Natural Resources Division is accepting bid propos als for a two-year Road Mainte nance Services Contract. The work will be performed on an on call, as-needed basis. Road main tenance work will typically occur in a forested setting and consist of the following activities: D Road-side brushing using a mechanical brush cutter. D Grading and shaping roads using a motorized grader. D Hauling and spreading patch rock using a loader, dump-truck, and grader. II Clearing culverts, ditch lines, and road banks of debris using a backhoe and loader. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 2, 1999. The Natural Resources Divi sion reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive tech nical defects in bidding, or nego tiate with any unsuccessful bid der if no bid is awarded.
