6 Tribal Life Smoke Signals Kids chosen for summer camps The Summer Sponsorship to attend summer camps have been filled. The following 15 tribal youth received the sponsorships: Shane Patterson, Nictoshia Sanchez, Zackery Sanchez, Highpine Eastman, Kayla Leno, Keith Wilson, Elizabeth Sancliffe, April Griffin, Matthew Fechtner, Dustin Hawks, Jessica Vivette, Holly Shafer, Kayla Deane, Evan Cunningham, and Lafawn Jackson. Georgia teen honored Congratulations to outstanding ath lete RUSTY KELLEY, who will at tend Middle Georgia College in the fall on a football scholarship. Rusty is 6'2", 235 pounds and was an of fensive tackle for his high school team. He was credited with 134 tack les this year, and has 411 career tack les. He is also recorded as having 34 tackles behind the line of scrim mage, six fumble recoveries, and eight sacks. Coaches call him the best pass blocker on the team. Rusty is the son of Marty and Sherrie Kelley. Good job, Rusty! Calvin, along with three other students, was chosen as one of the most enthusiastic read ers in Portland public schools. Calvin's par ents are Cliff and June Burnham. Tribal teen wins scholarships NICHOLAS BAILEY received the following awards and scholarships at the Willamina High School gradua tion ceremony: OSU Smile Program, $2,500; OSU Engineering, $500; OSU Achievement, $12,000; Esther Fawk Award, $518.
