Meetings planned for Elders' housing
The Grand Ronde
Tribal Housing Au
thority is beginning
work with the architect Bruce
Sternberg to design a master plan for
housing for the Elders in Grand
Ronde. This plan will determine the
possible types of housing andor
other related facilities and the gen
eral location of the buildings to be
constructed on the site now or in the
future. As part of this planning pro
cess, the 32-38 units of rental hous
ing for Elders will also be designed
and located on the site.
There will be several meetings in
May where Elders and other inter
ested tribal members will be invited
to attend to provide ideas, prefer-
ences, and dislikes.
The dates for these
meetings will be
available upon publication of this is
sue, and interested persons may call
the Authority for the times. However,
any Elders who are not able to attend
these meetings but would like to make
comments or suggestions, may do so
by calling Bryan Langley at the Hous
ing Authority at 879-2467 or 1-800-422-0232,
ext. 2467; or by writing
to the Authority at 9615 Grand Ronde
Road, Grand Ronde, OR 97347.
You may make comments at any
time, but to be sure they are initially
considered by the planning team,
they should be received at the Au
thority by Friday, May 8, 1998.
