But make no mistake, life didn't begin at forty for this tribal mem ber. She was too busy raising her six children to have time for a career away from home. But now her kids are all grown, and Louise is enjoying new expe riences in her job at Spirit Mountain. And she works in one of the Casino's most popu lar attractions bingo one area that seldom has a slow night. "I do customer service, pay outs, selling of games, and calling out numbers," she said. "We all have different duties on our team, and work together re ally well." Louise, who previously worked at a hotel in Reno, placed her application with Human Resources two years ago, right before the Casino opened. "I was called for an interview in Spirit Mountain Outfitters," said Louise, "but ended up being placed in Bingo." Louise has since received awards for her outstand ing attendance and Team Player of the Month. Louise enjoys spending time with her family, and her fourteen grandchildren. She and her husband make frequent trips to Reno, a town Louise says is special to her, filled with wonderful memories of when she used to live there. But she and her husband just bought a manufactured home for their lot at Grand Meadows, and plan to move to Grand Ronde shortly. "It will be really nice to live close to where I work," she said. Louise is also active in tribal functions, especially Elders' events. Last summer she went to Warm Springs with the Elders for Pi Urn Sha Days.
