The Commission will have 5 members (3 will be tribal members and 2 will be non-tribal). This is an important high-profile issues position that will include the following duties: Review gaming licenses for management and key employees; process and issue such licenses to qualified persons; facilitate and conduct background checks as appropriate; print and distribute forms and licenses; collect license fees; inspect gaming premisesequipment; review gaming contracts; promulgate and amend regulations; and, impose civil penalties or other sanctions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 4 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of regulations and gaming preferred. Must be at least 25 years of age. One commissioner must have at least 5 years of law enforcement experience. One commissioner must have upper managementregulatory experience. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING: High school diploma or equivalent and six months general office experience to include using a computer for data processing, filing, working with moderate supervision, establishing priorities or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skill and ability to perform the above described duties. KNOWLEDGE OF: Postal regulations; standard general office protocols, word processing, operation of general office equipment. ABILITY TO: Prioritize work and meet deadlines; work with moderate supervision and use good judgement in establishing priorities. Operate standard office equipment, e.g. photocopier, typewriter, computer, etc. NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possess or have ability to obtain within 30 days a valid Oregon driver's license and have a safe driving record. Must provide reliable transportation to be used in the picking up and delivering of mail. OTHER DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of word processing and database software preferred. Some general office or mail distribution experience preferred.
