On April 3, 1995, Mr. Bill Rife, tribal member from Reedsport, donated a complete set of the Hooked on Phonics materials de veloped by the Science Research Associates. Originally Mr. Rife had purchased the reading kit for his grandson, who tragically passed away two months ago. Mr. Rife felt a need to donate the ma terials and said "...if the materials could be of some use, he would like to see the kit go to the Tribe." The seventy-one year old Mr. Rife, felt he wanted to contribute in some small way to the improve ment of someone's education. "If someone could use a little extra help with reading, then I hope they will find some use for these mate rials," said Rife. The Tribal Edu cation Division appreciates this donation and will get great use out of it. Congratulations... Jeff Larsen and Hollie Justen were wed on April 7. A wedding reception will be held at a later date. Best wishes from all of your family and friends.
