Smoke Signals January, 1992 Pace 4 Staff Introductions - m : iY;?rf : ' '- V7 J -I - ' ' a! ' x : ,i lift' ' -. ':VJ I ! i Jim Parpart I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to all the tribal members of the Grand Ronde Community, and to say I appreciate the opportunity to serve your tribe in any way possible. I graduated from Western Oregon State College with a Business Degree and Communication minor, in March of 1991. I have a wonderful wife and 5 children that keep me busy when I'm not at work. Prior to attending college I spent 8 years in the U.S. Air Force, was a private contractor and worked for the City of Salem. All of this has given me a broad range of experience, knowledge and talents. In the job as Associate Planner my main responsibility is to research, draft and implement a land use and zoning code for the tribe. These codes will be tailor made to fit the needs and desires of the tribe. My goal in this job is to design a code that can be best used by the tribe to create the best living conditions for tribal members. I hope to be able to assist the tribe not only in this capacity, but in any task presented to me. If you have questions about myself or my job please feel free to stop in or give me a call at the agency. I work Monday - Friday, from 8:00 to 5:00. Thanks again for this opportunity to serve you.
