Known as the ICWA unit, their goal is to develop a better relationship with CSD in order to better serve the Indian children and families in Multnomah County. The ICWA unit is working closely with the Indian Education office and Portland Public Schools. One of their most urgent needs is for foster homes, both short and long-term, to house children who can, for a variety of reasons, no longer reside at home.
