ENROLLMENT : Durin9 the Past two months the Enrollment Clerk has been gathering materials and statistical data to assist in Preparation of Testimony in support of our Restoration Bill. Areas include our Health needs Planning ' updated material for the Tribal Profile and service : area Population. Enrollment form Processings ha, been temporarily Placed ! on hold since the last ; enrollment deadline of March I 31. New applications will be acted up on within the next s i ; v o n t h s . The Enroll rn e n t ; Clerk has been sending : requested applications for enrollment as she had time. It is requested that you be . Patient as the Clerk is : overwhelmed with work activities. She will answer - all requests as time Permits. A reminder to all of our Tribal Members , once a9ain, ; even if you are listed on the Tribal Roll of 1954, andor i you had filed enrollment forms ; in 1973-1980, VOU MUST I RE-ENROLL AGAIN if you have not done so. This is due to ; the recent uP dating of the r Tribal Enrollment Procedures. ; T h o s e applicant s c u rr e n 1 1 y on ; file will be the only ones i listed on the NEW updated ; membership roll for the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. All Tribal members names current I y enro lied will be submitted to the Bureau of Indian Affairs at such time as required to close the rolls. Once the Rolls are closed the members accepted for enrollment will be Pilaced on the new membership roll AFTER Restoration occurs. Each application will be Processed in the order received. If you are havin9 Problems with 9ainin9 Birth Certificate coPies, send in the enrollment forms now and forward the Birth Certificate as you receive it. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT ENROLLMENT APPLICATIONS BE RETURNED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BEAD SHOP' The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Indian Bead and Craft Shop is under NEW management. Christie i Loom is, a Tribal member was hired to replace Kathie Johnson who's contract exPired on May 31. Kathie moved to Portland where her chances of 9ettin9 another job are increased. Kathie stated that she would like to thank the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde for 9ivin9 her the oppor tunity to work for the Tribes and for assisting her in gaining new skills in Retail Management. She also welcomes Christie into her Position and feels that Christie will do an excellent Job for the Confederated Tribes. 4
