FUND RAISERS AND COMMITTEES: Scrap I ron FrankHarri son If you have any scrap t ron please call Frank at the Tribal Office. 8795253 These are just a few things that are being worked on for Fund Raising for the Tribe. If you have any ideas or would like to help please call the office or better yet come to the General Meeting. Frank Harrison, Agricultural Project Director, and Green Thumb workers Pete Petite, Loren Kimsey and Russ Leno have been: busy preparing the Tribal greenhouse for spring plant ing. Plans are to market starters of various vegetables and flowers which will be planted in the greenhouse in March. The driveway to the Tribal office has been lined with daffodils and iris. Flowers now also surround the Tribal sign. 'Have you noticed our new sign ? Thanks to'Frank, Pete, Loren"Shorty" and Russ. TITLE IV-A; News up-date, Margo George resigned her position as Parent Committee Chairperson. Funding for next years program is currently being negotiated with the School District. The April School' Board Meeting at Grand Ronde Elementry will have Title IV,on the agenda for the possible approval of abudget for next year. Your in-put is requested. Craft Night has been changed to Wen. evenings: 6:009:00. The gym will be open from 6:007:30 for Title IV participatants. President Reaqan plans to eliminate the Title IV Indian Education Act. These programs will be phasea out in 193 through a recesion and terminate in 1984. Funds requested In 1984 provide for close-out in prior years grants and the final meeting of the Advisory Council (NACIE ) . Reagans recommended figures for fiscal year 1984, Title IV Indian Education .Act: Parts A,B and C Programs $ 0 Part D Indian Education Program Please write your Congressman and ask him to support Title IV Indian Education Programs . During the month of February, the slide presentation was presented to two (2) groups: the Warm Springs Tribal Council Warm Springs, Oregon on February 3, 1983 and, to the Women's group of the Lutheran Church Lebanon, Oregon; both presentations were well-received, I might add. Fourteen meetings were attended throughout the month with the majority of them concerning our Restoration while the others included Tribal research, Ideal education on Tribal history, and Tribal representative, to name a few.
