Susan Gaughan, Elizabeth Mitchell, arid Dennis Griffen are under the direction of Allison Otis, a research assistant in the anthropology Department. The purpose of these interviews is to gather information on past history of Grand Ronde. '' In addition to the oral history interviews a geneology chart has been prepared, showing as many families as possible that information has been gathered on. Consid erable work has been done in local libraries and museums. All the information .-rather ed is on file at, the tribal office to be viewed by tribal members. Soon tapes v 1 i 1 a 1 so be a va liable. Recently, the project has begun to focus on health history since the reservation period. If &'y tribal members have old documents, photos, etc. we would like to reproduce the-::.- for the files.
