Power Up Tribal Energy Fair D.McMechan/Spilyay Morning of the fair, held at the campus Pavilion. Forty information booths, in- teresting energy demonstrations, food, raffles and more were some of the features at the War m Springs Power Up Community Energy Fair. Hosted by War m Springs Power and Water Enterprises and partner 7Skyline, the Energy Fair was a day-long community update and engagement event, the focus being on the latest in energy developments, both for the tribes overall and individual households. Earlier this week also, commu- nity members had a chance to tour the Salmonfly Solar Project site (see page 10) and learn more about that project. The Salmonfly team was also at the Power Up event. The Warm Springs Power Up Fair featured many energy-re- lated companies, groups and utili- ties, and tribal enterprises work- ing together, their attention on community engagement about the new opportunities. There were companies focusing on the community energy oppor- tunities; some regarding utilities en- ergy opportunities for the Confed- erated Tribes; others for culture, heritage and natural resources; and some demonstrating renewable en- ergy opportunities. The fair overall was an event for everyone in the family, with raffles, including for an e-bike; a home efficiency and weatheriza- tion supply giveaway; inter-active activities with solar technologies such as solar panels, a solar oven and water pumps, solar lanterns and model cars, battery systems and more.
