Page 3 Spilyay Tymoo May 1 Museum at Warm Springs May re-opening The Museum at Warm Springs is looking at an early-May reopen- ing date. The closure has been for the installation of a new heating, ventilation and air conditioning system: The process has taken longer than expected, due to un- expected supply chain issues. “This is our most recent up- date,” said museum executive di- rector Elizabeth Woody. “We are fairly certain at this point we will be reopening very soon.” Mean- while in other Museum at Warm Springs news: The grounds clean-up last year attracted more than 150 enthusi- astic museum members, tribal members, board members, donors and other museum friends who spent the day sprucing up the mu- seum grounds. It was so much fun for every- one, the museum decided to hold another grounds clean-up day this year, date to be announced. The report can be found on the website: museumatwarmsprings.org Regarding the HVAC closure, the museum staff has been working during the installation. The Museum at Warm Springs Gift Shop is stocking for the May reopening. The shop features many kinds of gift items, Major funders of the new sys- tem include the National Park Service, the Roundhouse Foun- dation, the Ford Family Founda- tion, the Portland General Elec- tric Foundation, the Spirit Moun- tain Community Fund, and Or- egon Cultural Trust. from Pendleton blankets, tribal history and art books, jewelry and and works by tribal artists such as Lillian Pitt.
