Clinic expansion, remodel in design phase
The Warm Springs Health
and Wellness Center is work-
ing toward an expansion and
redesign to better meet the
growing needs of the com-
munity. The clinic staff has
been taking input from the
public regarding the project.

The clinic is in a remodel-expansion phase.
The modernization project
is now in the design phase,
with the ground-breaking ex-
pected next summer, Mr.
Dauphinais said. Earlier, the
three design concepts were
submitted to Tribal Council
and the IHS area office.
The expansion will double
the number of exam rooms,
and make the waiting area
larger and safer. “During flu
season, and certainly during
the pandemic, you don’t want
sick people walking through
and waiting in the same area

Commissioned Officers and
Civil Service staff who
participated in the Commu-
nity vaccine and food
distribution event over the
weekend.
Caroline, Danny, Dot
and the rest of the Emer-
gency Management team all
contributed to a very well-
run event, supporting the
health and food needs of the
community.
We are planning another
community event in conjunc-
tion with the community
Halloween walk on October
30.
We will be looking for
volunteers to vaccinate and
assist with food distribution

The Columbia River Inter-
Tribal Fish Commission is
hiring the following positions:
Accountant technician.
This position provides sup-
port to accounting functions.
It primarily processes ac-
count payable by receiving
and processing purchase or-
ders, analyzing A/P and ty-
ing it to the general ledger,
and issuing checks.
Accounts payable staff
accountant. This position
primary function is the pro-
cessing of all phases of the
Accounts Payable cycle.
Hager man Genetics
Laborator y: Genetics
laboratory technician. This
position is part of CRITFC’s
Fishery Science Department,
it is located with the genetics
group at the Hagerman Fish
Culture Experiment Station
in Hagerman, Idaho. Closes
November 5.
Fishing site mainte-
nance worker: These two
position provide the mainte-
nance of the 31 Tribal In-
Lieu and Treaty Fishing Ac-
cess Sites located along 150
miles of the Columbia River.
Enforcement Depart-
ment: Hood River Office.
Columbia river Inter-
Tribal Police Department
Sergeant: The sergeant
serves as a first line super-
visor over the patrol division.
Closes October 22.

Four positions. The
Columbia River Inter-Tribal
Police Department is based
in Hood River Oregon.
CRITPD-Dispatcher:
Three positions.
Columbia River Inter-
Tribal Police dispatchers are
based in Hood River, and are
the communication link for
all incoming communica-
tions to the Columbia River
as healthy people,” Mr.
Dauphinais said.
With this project the Phar-
macy area would also be
larger. Another benefit will
be bringing onto the clinic
campus all of the health ser-
vices offered through IHS
and Managed Care.
The clinic was built in
1993. For merly, the IHS
Warm Springs Clinic was
housed in the current Fam-
ily Resource Center build-
ing.
The move in 1993 to the
current clinic was a great im-
provement in terms of the
size and updating of the clinic
facility. The new project will
have similar benefits.

600 food boxes, community
prevention teams and other
community resources will be
providing community educa-
tion, and a trick or treat for
those who attend.

Shaker Church closure
The closure of the
War m Springs 1910
Shaker Church remains in
effect, indefinitely, until
further notice due to the
suspected hazardous
building materials within
the church ceiling, kitchen
and dining areas.
Funding has been se-
cured to conduct an en-
vironmental study to col-
lect samples of the sus-
pected hazardous building
materials, and securing the
consultants into a contract
are in progress.
For the health and
safety of church patrons,
the Warm Springs 1910
Shaker Church will need
to remain closed until
the environmental stud-
ies and renovations are
completed.
