resolution supports the ef
fort to secure funding to
establish and maintain the

The BIA, Oregon D e

VFW and American Le

possible source.

the Tribal Veterans Memo

Calica said.

four, and two-person mixed
teams. Last year, 328 people
took part.
O ne element that is new
this year is that people who
w ant to participate in both
individual and team competi
tions m ust pay separate entry
fees o f $25. Participants can
compete in up to two events.
The essence o f the com
petition— judging on a per
centage o f w eight lost and
inches from the w aist and
hips— will remain the same as
it has been.
To create m ore winners,
individual male and female
competitions will have weight
classes, to be determined af
terweigh-ins.
O rganizers plan to have
essentially the same number
o f people in each class, so
the classifications will not be
determined until weigh-ins.
