Spilyay Tymoo, Warm Springs, Oregon Pdge 12 January 8, 2014 Lamprey film premiere in Warm Springs New gymnasium The film The Tost Fish will premiere in Warm Springs at the com m unity center at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13. A d mission will free. This half-hour film is pro duced jointly by the Colum bia River Inter-T ribal Fish Commission and Freshwaters Illustrated. The film explores the im portance o f lamprey to the Columbia Plateau tribes, how the decline o f the lamprey has affected tribal cultural prac- tices, and w hat the tribes are doing to make sure these an cient fish return to their na tive rivers and streams. Following the screening will be a short question and an swer period with tribal scien tists working on lamprey res toration projects. Vocational Rehabilita tion in Warm Springs has orientations every Monday at 3 p.m. at their office in the in dustrial park.
