Thank you Val for all yor dedication in the start of our classrooms, we started out with 9 students in the first year, and now we completed our second year with 10 stu dents in two class rooms a 3 year old classroom and a 4 year old classroom. Our staff were very ex cited working diligently to get these classes going. We started our class rooms with Very very little, we had a lot of Staff donations and parent donations and with the help of Clint Smith Tribal Warehouse, ECE for extra school furniture, our class rooms started looking like classrooms. Language is an important part of our young children, because there at a age now thats great for ab sorbing our Ichishkiin lan guage. Our very young Ichishkiin language learners are so precious to o u r Language Teachers, beause there knowledge of the language is so amaz ing.! Ange was a valued parent spent a lot of classroom time with her daughters, Skye and Katlyn. The AIS students Served all the Traditional Foods at this feast which was provided by parents, staff and the students first digging, Other employees in the building that contributed thank you. The students were as sisted by family members in the serving of the foods. This was such a beautiful sight to see our 3 & 4 year olds serving in the traditional way. Drummers honored all the foods with beautiful Washat songs as the students served the food. We had one "seven of washat before the ceremony began. The students danced in with their roots. The parents recognized these students by offering a lil something to the elders present to witness. 5 ESnKe Katlyn served “ Wiwnu” at the serving o f all the Tradi tional foods at this Feast.
