Those very words are writ

the planning room beneath
the bleachers: “D o w hat has
to be done, w hen it has to be
done, as well as it can be
done.”
They are w ords that not
only Coach Wells believes in,
but his players and coaching
staff do as well.
Second h alf
As far as the second half

very few mistakes.
Coach Wells was pleased
with his team’s performance
saying, “We just managed the
game very well, and our play
ers did a good job not turn
ing the ball over and playing
smart football.”
In the second half Devin
Ceciliani would grab an inter-

from Haugen.

County and Madras had what
had to be one o f th e best
games in their histories.
The game was 26-24 at the
half with Crook County hold
ing the slight edge. Madras
matched the Cowboy running
attack with there version o f
an- airwar.
In the second half Crook
County outscored madras 20-
8 and seemed to be running
away. But in the fourth quar

points to Crook County’s 14.
The end result was a 60-
52 thriller with Madras just
missing out on a chance to
tie near the end.
It was by all standards a
wild game.
A sh o t at redem ption
Madras will get a rare shot
at red em p tio n this Friday
night, w hen they once again
play h o s t to th e C ro o k
County Cowboys.
T he w inner o f the state
play-in-game will advance to
round one o f the OSAAplay
offs; the loser will be done
for the season.
Both teams have offensive
w eapons, both team s have
much improved defenses, and
b o th team s have the same
dream. But only one can ad
vance... W ho will it be?
Your guess is as good as
mine, b ut I have feeling that
this rime history may n o t re
peat itself. Besides, w hat can
be m ore fun than sitting with
your family and friends on a
chilly fall evening cheering on
the hom etown favorites.

real good time.

I ’m sure all the faithful fans
are saying the same thing this
week.
