The Second Annual D ia­
betes Awareness Conference
will be on Nov. 7 at the Com­
munity Wellness Center.
There will b e foot screen­
ing during registration; blood
sugar/blood pressure screen­
ing, and a flu vaccine clinic.

Finals Rodeo this fall in
Las Vegas.
Billey, 14, is a freshman
at Madras H igh School,
an d a m em b er o f th e
Western States Indian Ro­
deo Association.
A t the National Finals
Rodeo he will be compet­
ing in the 15 and under
steer riding event. The Fi­
nals are Nov. 6-10.
Benjamin had a good
2012 ro d eo season. H e
w on or placed in several
rodeos this past summer.
His m ost recent wins
were at the, Fort Hall Jun­
ior Rodeo. He won the Jun­
ior Bull Riding com peti­
tion, with some coaching
fro m a N a tiv e P ro f e s ­
sional Bull Riding rider.
In the W estern States
Indian Rodeo Regionals,
B en jam in w o n seco n d
place on the first day, and
first-place on final day.
H e traveled to rodeos
in Oregon, Idaho, Nevada
and Washington. H e has
future plans for bronc-
riding and bareback riding.

join the High School Ro­
deo A ssociation and the
