The camp is open to students in grades K-8
ages 6 - 1 3
Deadline for applications is
July 2 9, 2 0 1 2
There is a $25.00 registration fee per child
thats due by August 10th; however, if your
unable to pay the fee, we have a scholarship
process fo r the applicants and we will have a
Scholarship workshop on Tuesday, August 7th
from
10 am - noon in the Main Floor Training Room
by our Department in the Education Building.
Students ages 6 & 7 can draw a picture that
has to do with camping, parents can help your
child with this.
Students ages 8-13 are to w rite an essay
about: “ Why do you want to go to camp”
With the help o f Arlene Boileau & Rosanna
Sanders o f OSU Extension Department, Rosanna
Jackson and other members o f Community
Counseling Prevention Department have been in
a very busy process to get everything set up
for this years camp.
A primary focus to this years camp will be on
Culture, History, Language o f the Tribes, Crafts,
Traditional Values, How personal growth in the
Traditional ways is a positive step toward pre
vention, and we plan to include a variety of
games fo r the camp participants, camp fire
story telling.
There are various Tribal departments involved
with presentations to the participants to cover
various areas in there respective professions.
The Camp Move in Date is Sunday, August 19th
and departure is Thursday, August 23 rd
