Items can be picked up. If A b b y Scott will be attending New Mexico State University on a basketball scholarship. Scott, the daughter of James and Amy Scott, will be a senior at Madras High School this fall. The New Mexico State Aggies, in Las Cruces, are part of the Western Athletic Conference. Abby, a 6-foot-1, averaged 12.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.6 steals per game as a junior, helping lead her team to a 21-8 record and trip to the class 4A state semifinal round. Abby is the first 2012 commitment for the Aggies and the team’s new head coach Mark Trakh. She was actively recruited by several colleges in the country, said Jim Scott. Earlier this month the team won the prestigious A ll-Star D ivision at the End o f the Trail girls basketball tourna ment, the first time an Oregon- based team won the tourna ment since 1996. Youth survey in Warm Springs this Friday The Oregon Native Youth Survey w ill be conducted in Warm Springs on Friday, July 29' The survey is to help iden tify the strengths and needs of youth in the Warm Springs com- 21 , 2011 munity. Youth between the ages of 12 and 19 are asked to partici pate in this survey, which con tains questions about relation ships, school, the community, culture, drugs, alcohol, firearms and crime.
