Construction of the new Fire
Management building is well
underway. Ken Lydy, assistant
Fire Management officer, says
that once complete, the build
ing will bring the Fire Manage
ment staff together in a 27,000-
square-foot building.
“We have been split now for
several years,” Lydy said.
“Within the next year, the build
ing will be complete and every
thing will be in one compound.”
The search for funding for
the project began back in 1998,
Lydy said.

phase where we’re seeing the
construction o f an actual build
ing,” he said.
By April or early May o f
next year, a majority o f Fire
Management plans tomove into
the new structure, located at the
industrial park. The Fire Man
agement warehouse will stay in
its current location.
Warm Springs Construction
has done the site preparation
work, and is acting as construc
tion manager.
