T he latest exhibit at the M useum at W arm Springs displays some o f these cre ations. T he boards feature bril lia n t c o lo r s , a n d d e sig n them es th a t are h eartfelt, in s p ire d , a n d so m e tim e s funny. T hem es include p a trio tism , sports team s, family and tradition, among several others. A central figure o f the exhibit is a large-sized doll holding a baby doll-in a baby board. This item, by Maria Godines, is from the museum perm anent collection. The baby boards will be a the museum Changing Exhib its Gallery through May 25. The theme o f th e A p ril 16 su m m it is “Men’s Health Is a Family Mat ter.” T h e sum m it is sp o n so red through a grant from the Inter- cultural Cancer Council in H ous ton. The focus o f the gathering is on issues o f cancer preven tion and treatment. Those who attend can also give d ire c tio n to th e E agle Feather Men’s Chapter as to fu tu re e d u c a tio n to p ic s, and needed su p p o rt services for men diagnosed with cancer. Team Wading to Exhale raffle to attend Hood to Coast Walk A raffle drawing set for May will help the local team Wading to Exhale participate in the 2009 Portland to Coast Walk. The walk, in August, is the largest walk relay in the world. T he raffle drawing for team Wading to Exhale will be held May 26. Winners need n o t be present.
