As this New Year 2008 be gins, I sit and reflect on all the happenings of the past years, the good as well as the bad. The tragedies of lost lives, the dev astations of fires, floods, wind storms, tornados, earthquakes etc. etc. Also the loss of our brave soldiers fighting a fight for our freedom. Freedom to speak and freedom to worship a mighty God who can heal and work miracles. A loving God who doesn’t want any to perish, a wonderful God who gives each person a free will to accept or reject Him. This same God who lives in my heart and keeps His hand upon my family and those plus me that ask of Him. In His Word (the Bible), He tells us of the “catching away”. A trumpet will sound and the. dead in Christ (those that were saved and have passed on) will rise to m eet our Lord, then those that are alive will be caught up (will also rise). After that happens, an era called the tribulation w ill be here. During that time it’ll be a time of plagues just as it was during the time of Aloses. Any person who is left on this earth will have it very hard. I pray I am not here to witness these hard times. We cry we want change but I b elieve w e -m u st start that change within ourselves. Our leaders need prayers, all the way up to our President of the USA. Prayers are powerful. We have the power people! But we must first begin with ourselves. Praise the Lord! I’m praying this year will be a better year for all. I love you but Jesus loves you more. Love in Christ, T ina Aguilar A thank you To my family & friends, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and pray your Christmas was good. I would also like to send my love and condolences to each o f the families who lost a loved one. Sorry I couldn’t make it but I was there in spirit. So it you want to drop me a few lines my address is: PO Box 1214, Yelm, WA 98597. Again, Happy New Year to everyone in Warm Springs and beyond. Find out who I am. I’ve been playing the role of queen, so they say it, playing the role of being a role model to a lot of people and having to uphold this image that everybody has for me. I’ve got to find out who I am, w here I com e from . That’s probably my main goal right there, is just finding out who Sallie is.” But as Miss Warm Springs, and with the support of those close to her, she learned to do so, Polk-Adams said. “I’m kind of glad that other people are wanting to try this because it’s a good experience and it opens your eyes to what’s really out there,” she said. “It’s about how people see you and how you present yourself as a lady. It’s not exactly what I thought it was going to be from the beginning.” “Your Local Paint & Glass Experts” OPEN 8-5:30 M-F; 9-4 Sat the real life,” Polk-Adams said. “I’m glad I had this opportu nity,” Polk-Adams said. “I thank everybody who supported me through everything, through all the rough times and my tears and my laughter.” Polk-Adams would like to specifically thank her mother, Sena Polk, her grandm other Vikki Polk-Muldrow, and her aunt Anna Polk-Lopez.
