Task Force is developing road
side prevention signs. T hese
signs promote zero tolerance for
meth.
A memorial sign for families
who-lost a loved one to meth/
drugs will also be attached to the
sign.
The idea behind the sign cam
paign is. to pay respect to those
families who lost a loved one
from meth or drugs, and to pre
vent losing more people from
drugs and alcohol.
The Meth Task Force is re
questing permission from mem
bers o f the community to re
member those that we have lost.
Currently, we are searching for
eight families to come forward
with remembrance names.
So, i f you or anyone you
know is interested, we sincerely
appreciate your contributions
towards this p ro je c t.,
. I f you have any questions
about either project, please cpn-
tact me at 553-3462, or attend
the Meth Task Force meetings
held every Wednesday at noon
at the Family Resource Center.

same place 1144 Warm Springs

Thank you for your time and
attention.

/ An additional área o f con
cern has been the Tribal Coun
cil and Committee travel policy,
which was reviewed. N o action
capie about to change it at this
time.
I believe that travel is neces
sary in our work. However, it is
disconcerting to receive a first
quarter report o f $60,000 over
expenditure o f the budget. The
sidestepping o f this con cern
must stop.
’ In light o f this, we had a dia
logue about mandatory reports
to reassure trust, communica

The tribal enterprises have
provided Quarterly rep o rts,
mostly good/news with the ex

Industry, which has encountered
low prices /for lumber.
O n the upside, our tribes are
viewed as a leader in energy arid
alternative energy innovation.

we pursue a biomass plant and

It is our sovereign right to

will add to our economic health.
In summary, we have faith
that we can all work together to
make our reservation safe, pro
