Several buildings vandalized
The Education, Building was
broken into last week, and sig
nificant property damage was
reported.

-A laptop computer was re
ported, stolen, and the employee
desks were ransacked. The per
son or people responsible also,
dis charged a fire extinguisher in
a room on the 'second floor o f
the building. The pop machines
were broken open,

The 2006 Madras Saturday Market Christm as Ba
zaar has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 1, from 11a.m.
to 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The market will be in the Mud Springs Grange Hall, Old
Culver Highway andThird St. in downtown Madras. New,
first-time vendors are also welcome to participate in the

aw areness and prevention conference on Dec. 1.
Students in the 509J district have the day off from school
on Dec. 1, and conference organizers hope that will en
courage students to attend the event. Registration be
g in s at 8 a.m. The conference will be held at the Warm
Springs Community Wellness Center. IM S ., CHET, CPS,
'Community Counseling, Culture and Heritage, the Senior
Program, Victims of Crime and the State Office of Mental
Health and Addictions Services will host the event.
Tribal members are Invited to recall the sights and
sounds of the old village and falls during the C elilo Wy-
am-pum homecoming and healing encampment.
The event begins Nov. 23 and ends on Moy. 26 at the
Celilo Park and Village Longhouse. Families are welcome
to share a moment with those who once gathered at that
special place and to join with other Columbia River de
scendents. Those who wish to attend are welcome to
bring songs, stories and photographs to share. Tee
pees, poles and tents are needed for the encampement.
