Canadian golfer Jbn Heaver
scored a 1 51 to edge local golfer
Kelly Wctcher by three strokes
to win the Northwest Indian
Invitational Golf Tournament
at Kah-Nee-Ta High Desert
Casino and Resort Golf Course
Oct. 8-9.
Beaver won $475 for winning
the gross (scratch scores) por
tion of the men's championship
flight, beating Wetcher, who
earned $325 for his 154 week
end score.
Another Canadian, Sharon
Jack, won the women's gross
flight with a 165 score, beating
out Janell Smith, representing
Kah-Nee-Ta, who finished with
a 175. Jack won $350, while
Smith took home $250.
Ixuie Pitt of Warm Springs,
finishing only one stroke behind
Beaver's score at 152, earned
$450 in winning the senior men's
gross flight, edging Frank Go-

from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on
Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Warm
Springs Community Center.
The seminar is free of charge.

of the National Wellness Insti

of the Culture and Heritage
Department.
