White Horse Adventures of
fers guided rafting tours on the
Deschutes River. Through this
service, the business has the
potential to bring important ben

Tribal member employment
is one example, said Jim

currently employs three river
guides who are tribal members,
and one driver who is a tribal
member.
The White Horse Adventures
shop, located on the highway
near the Deschutes River
Bridge, employs Manion's wife
Donna, and their children Matt
and Chelsea. Evelyn Light also
works at the shop.
The river tours by White
Horse Adventures begin on the
reservation side of the
Deschutes, near the bridge. The
take-out, also on the reservation
side, is just below the White
Horse Rapids. The business pro
vides a shuttle service to and
from the launch and the take
out point.
White Horse Adventures has
entered an agreement with Kah-Nee-Ta
to provide rafting tours
to the resort guests. "The resort
