Through this service, the business has the potential to bring important ben efits to the tribes. Tribal member employment is one example, said Jim Manion, who recently pur chased the White Horse Adven tures business. The company currently employs three river guides who are tribal members, and one driver who is a tribal member. The White Horse Adventures shop, located on the highway near the Deschutes River Bridge, employs Manion's wife Donna, and their children Matt and Chelsea. Evelyn Light also works at the shop. The river tours by White Horse Adventures begin on the reservation side of the Deschutes, near the bridge. The take-out, also on the reservation side, is just below the White Horse Rapids. The business pro vides a shuttle service to and from the launch and the take out point. White Horse Adventures has entered an agreement with Kah-Nee-Ta to provide rafting tours to the resort guests.
