XSSSL Birthday wishes
Credit Enterprise and Business and
Economic Development Center of
Warm Springs have combined efforts
to bring the Individual Development
Accounts (IDA) Program to Warm
Springs.
This is a program designed to help
Tribal Members purchase their first
home, or for tribal members start a
business for themselves and lack suf
ficient money to get started.
Following is a brief overview of the
IDA Program:
IDA Program participants must be
employed.
IDA Program participants will be
required to have a bank savings ac
count or willing to start a bank sav
ings account from their earned in
come. IDA Program participants will be
discouraged from withdrawing from
their savings account.
Credit counseling and credit repair
is available.
IDA Program participants must
successfully complete the Financial
Skills for Families Literacy class.
After participants have success
fully completed the Financial Skills
for Families class and have saved
$1,250 in their bank savings account,
the Warm Springs IDA Program will
add $3,750 to their $1,250 for a goal
of $5,000.
This will be released to the ven
dor for home purchase or a vendor
for purchase of new equipment to
start a business.

Joel and Betty Thompson are proud to announce the birth of, their
son Joel Anthony Thompson III, who was born April 15.
Joel joins his brothers Aaron Thompson and KaMiken Spino, and
sister Janan Thompson.

Springs. The mother's parents are Gwen Hutchinson and the late
Frenchy Spino. Great grandparents are Gladys Thompson and Benny
Mitchell.
Jenilee Chandra Squiemphen
Eliah Squiemphen is proud to announce the birth of her daughter
Jenilee Chandra Squiemphen, who was born April 14.
The mother's parents are Lawrence and Leslie Squiemphen of Warm
Springs.
Dominique Mia Walker
Thomas James Walker and Phyllis Shawaway are proud to announce
the birth of their daughter Dominique Mia Walker, who was born
April 14. Dominique joins sister Kali Walker, who is 2.
The father's parents are Cheryl Heath of Warm Springs, and Lee
Sorrelhorse of Portland; and on the mother's side, Myra Johnson of
Warm Springs.
Great grandparents are Raymond Johnson Sr., Rosanna Charley
Johnson and Marceline Genshaw-Stacona.
Tahleeni Nizhoni White
Tanayia George and Dennis White III of Globe, Arizona were blessed
with a girl, Tahleeni Nizhoni White, born into the Tugaii, White wa
ter Eagle Clan and born for the Todichinne clan, on Wednesday, April
10 at Cobre Valley Community Hospital in Claypool, Arizona. Ma
ternal grandparents are Sandra Rambler of Bylas, Arizona and Calvin
Etcitty of Paradise Valley, Arizona. Local grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Dennis White, Jr. of Warm Springs, Oregon. Tahleeni resides in
Globe, Arizona.
Learn healthy cooking
If you want to learn how to make
good food that's good for you, then

Healthy Cooking Class on the first
and third Wednesdays of the month
at 5:30
p.m. in the Warm Springs 1 Icalth and
Wellness Center's demonstration
kitchen.
The next call for May' will be May
15, and will feature summer barbe
cue and
salad recipes.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Workforce Basics Skill Cen
ter in Madras is offering a course de
signed to show you what employers
look for in applications and to im
prove the effectiveness of your inter
view process.
Tips on how to dress, and how to
sell yourself in the formal interview
are included in this dynamic 6-hour
class.
The class will meet Tuesday and
Thursday, May 14 and 16 from 9 a.m.
to noon at the Madras COCC Cen
