This is a program designed to help Tribal Members purchase their first home, or for tribal members start a business for themselves and lack suf ficient money to get started. Following is a brief overview of the IDA Program: IDA Program participants must be employed. IDA Program participants will be required to have a bank savings ac count or willing to start a bank sav ings account from their earned in come. IDA Program participants will be discouraged from withdrawing from their savings account. Credit counseling and credit repair is available. IDA Program participants must successfully complete the Financial Skills for Families Literacy class. After participants have success fully completed the Financial Skills for Families class and have saved $1,250 in their bank savings account, the Warm Springs IDA Program will add $3,750 to their $1,250 for a goal of $5,000. This will be released to the ven dor for home purchase or a vendor for purchase of new equipment to start a business. -,.
