Page 6 Annual event teaches What is the Grade School Open House?? It is when the second and fourth graders have an hour of fun, educational guided tour of the clinic! All done to a Pirate theme! The Health and Wellness center just had it's third annual clinic-wide tour on Wednesday, 22002. Before that Dental only held this event. The tour included: In Pod A we had a safety obstacle course & 4 things to be healthy. In the Dental Pod b, there was a brushing your teeth pup pet show and tour. In Pod C , there was a pirate poison prevention skit and Dr. Bones talked about the skeletal system. Howlak Tichum Josepha Meanus Crowe Josepha Meanus Crowe passed on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at her place of residence then 1773 Tao-Shuh Ave. She had just turned 68 years young, Josepha Meanus Crowe was born on December 22nd, 1933 at Simnasho, Oregon to parents Clarence Meanus and Lillie Cushingway. Josepha loved to travel for she was a traveling missionary for the Warm Springs 1910 Indian Shaker Church. Other hobbies include making quilts, visiting with friends and fam ily, picking huckleberries, canning fruit, digging roots, writ ing letters; going to church, attending conferences, meeting different people, and also she loved to bcadwork. At the time of her passing she was a homcmaker. She also enjoyed speak ing fluently in Sahaptin Language. Josepha is survived by her bother Marvin Meanus, Sr. Sis ters include Hilda Culpus, Jeanette Yazzie, and Nancy Yallup. Josepha's children include Owens J. Yahtin, Walter R. Payne, Sr. Josie A. William, Richard W. Payne, Jr., Linda Meanus, and Virgi, Watson. She had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Josepha was preceded in death by her husband Clifford Crowe, and sons Edgar Yahtin, Randy Yahtin, Sr., Gilbert Yahtin, Elliot J. Yahtin, and two brothers Nathan "8-ball" Jim, Sr., and Levi "Snoz" Kennedy. Muriel "Mico" Greene Chase 'Muriel "Micb" Greene' Chase, Mit-Me-We-Cutz-It, passed away February 26, 2002 at St. Charts Medical Center it the age of 60. She was born June 21, 1942 at Sidwalter Plats, deliv ered by Aut-twy Lucinda Smith, to Francis Greene and Celia Stacona Greene. Chase resided in Warm Springs, Oregon most of her life. She was employed at the Warm Springs tribal credit depart ment. She married Guy Theodore Chase on March 15, 1986, at Reno, Nevada. Survivors include: husband Ted Chase of Warm Springs, OR; brother Levi Greene of Warm Springs, OR; sister Agnes G. Lumpmouth of Warm Springs, OR; sister Laurel Nancy Greene of Pendleton, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews. Chase was preceded in death by: son Tony Bronchcau; par ents Francis and Celia Greene; brothers Eugene Greene, Sr, Harold Greene, Perry Greene, and David Greene. Dressing ceremonies took place at the Warm Springs Full Gospel Church Thursday, February 28, by Ramona Schuster and Margaret Boise. Services were officiated by Pastor Ernest Hunt, and the burial was held Friday, March 1, at the Tcnino Cemetery, March 1, 2002. She was born in the Warm Springs Fire and Safety unit 2273 along highway 26, near Boise drive. Cheydon Denay Herkshan Leevi Herkshan and Danni Katchia welcome their new daughter Cheydon Denay Herkshan born February 21, 2002 at 11:02 p.m. Cheydon weighed, 7 ,P3d8,5founces pd was ,21, (inches in length..
