The tournament was titled Tzo-Ya-Ha, which means "People of the sun." Upon its completion, I received a lot of positive feedback from various members of the community who thought the tournament went well. My only regret was that my awards didnft arrive on time like I had hoped and wanted, but they came in on Monday the 13th and we hand de livered them to all the teams. For this tournament there were originally 13 teams scheduled, but due to other things a few dropped out. I would like to thank those teams who were able to gather enough players to fill those vacant slots. This allowed for continuous games to be played and kept the tournament on track. Ev eryone seemed to enjoy the games and I was glad to see so many bas ketball fans cheering for their selected team(s). Organizing and holding a tourna ment takes a great deal of time, effort, and hard work. This was my first attempt at hosting a tournament and without the local support it would have been impossible to accomplish. I would like to send a special thanks to the Warm Springs Composite Products and the Warm Springs Forest Products Industries for their donations. Your sponsorship was greatly appreciated. Thank you Margo and Scott Moses of Kahneeta Resort for your assistance with things. It was very helpful. I would like to acknowledge my dedicated tournament staff for their time and effort in seeing that things were taken care of. Thank you Roland and Vcrleen Kalama for all your time and help Ihroughout the weekend. I would also like to recognize others who voluntarily Ipitched in? and helped out with things and clean-up when needed. Once again, thank you and I ap preciate everyonefs encouragement. Shawn A.
