Madras coach Dick Souers stated "they had one of the finest seasons since becoming Madras head softball coach." At Central, "Madras made costly errors" Souers stated.'The fourth inning was the key to the game, being down five to zero, Madras gave up seven runs and could not get back into the game." Madras committed seven errors and had only three hits. Souers added his Team just " fell apart, they seemed loose and ready to play but never got untracked." Sours felt the team had a great year and looks forward to next season as all but two of this year's team will return. Souers is sure his team will do well next season, saying, "they will get alot of experience playing together this summer in tournaments around Oregon." Souers also stated the level of play during the summer is helpful in developing young players. Also playing many 4A class schools during the Summer helps.
