Eagles were able to score 16 to the

and the lead. As the fourth and final
quarter got under way something sort
of went wayward as the Eagles went
on a rampage to run away from the
Buffs scoring 22 points to the Buffs

over take the Eagles with a few min
utes left in the game as the Hood
River Valley team went on to win the

Simmclink from scoring 23 points
during the game to pave the way for the
host Buff team. Laura Sahme added 16
points for the winning cause, she also
had the only three point basket in the
game, she is always working the ball
looking for the open player for the easy
two point play, along with her fine
shooting. Heather Clowcrs came off
the bench and added 13 points and she
was effective on the rebounding also.
Becky Dodson poured in a total of 12
points as the hard working post player
is always around where the ball comes
down and many times has the rebounds
where she can put up the shot for the
easy two. Margie Dure tie added 10
points to make the fifth player to finnish
the game in double figures. Shirley
Allen turned in a fine performance bo th

Michelle Semmilink led the way
past The Dalles, for the Buff girls as
she ripped the nets for 20 points, with
several rebounds during the game,and
she was also good on defense. Becky
Dodson also had a good game as she
contributed 14 points and also did
good work under the backboards
bringing down several
rebounds.Laura Sahme added 11
points toward the win and had a good
game in front court also had several
assists. Margie Durette and Shirley
Allen turned in a fine performance in
the front court both on offense and
defense, with Durette adding 3 points
and Allen 2. Allison Kirsch added 3
points, Luanne Foltz 2 points for the
winners.
The Buff girls jumped out to the
early lead and kept The Dalles on the
catch up side of things and never let
them get too close at any time. Both
teams saw periods of slack action
where there wasn't much scoring
done, as both teams had some off
periods. The teams were pretty evenly
matched height wise but the Buffs
just out hustled them both on offense
and defense.
Madras was called for 15 fouls
and The Dalles had 17 infractions.
The Buffs were 5 of 10 at the free
throw line while The Dalles was 6
14. Both teams showed improvement
since their first meeting at The Dalles
earlier this year. The next outing for
the Buffs will be their Holiday invi
tational basketball tournament this
coming weekend with the Hood
River Valley Eagles to meet Oregon
City in the first game and in the night
