A game where many fans thought was a sure winner went sour and the Pioneers capitalized on that and managed to pull the big upset, handing the Buffs the loss. This gives the White Buffaloes a 0 win and 1 loss, in league play, with a 3 win 2 loss overall record for the season. Things just didn't go right for Madras all evening long as they gave up the ball on downs, fumbles and pass interceptions all during the game. At times the Buffs moved the ball at will and made some good ground gains, but just when it ap peared they were on their way something would go wrong and the drive would halt. It was clearly evi dent that the Mac Hi team was no Crook County team but yet they managed to move the ball on the Buffs pretty handily. Mac hi managed to score in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead during the half time break. In the third quar ter it appeared the Buffs were on the roll as they made some big gains and weremarchingrightdown field when their dirve stalled and the Pioneers White Buffs top The Madras White Buffaloes get back on the winning track as they traveled to Ontario and handed them a 20-6 beating on their home filed, Sep tember 27, 1991. This gives the Buffs a 1 win I loss record in league play and a 3 win 2 loss overall for the year. Louis Sauceda opened up the scor ing for the Buffaloes with a 2 yard run to put the Buffs up 6-0, and a run tor the extra point failed In the second quarter a 38 yard pass from Barnes to Boyle put them on the score board once again and the kick for the extra point failed but the Buffs were ahead 12 0. After the intermission in the third quarter Barnes picked up a fumble and ran it in untouched for another Madras TD. Ryan Boyle ran the ball in for the Entries open for St. Pats cowdeo Registration is now open for St. Pat's Cowdeo to be held October 19 & 20 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Madras. Time after time the Buff attack was halted either by a pass intercep tion or incomplete passes and had to punt. When things go wrong nothing can go right and that 's what happened to the Buffs during the game. It was a big feather in the Mac Hi Coaches hat, Rod Chester, as he had just resigned the coaching position here at Madras and resumed the coaching duties at Mac Hi, where his record was 0 wins and 3 losses for the year. Madras just had to be the team for him to beat and that's just what they did. The Madras White Buffaloes will just have to look to the next game and prepare for that and let this game go behind them. The ir next game will be on the road as they travel East to meet the Ontario 'Tigers on their home field. When a team is on the road it's always tough to win. A win at Ontario would put some spark back into the Buffs game to continue on for a title shot at the conference title. Ontario Tigers two points to cap the scoring for the Buffs for the night Banks of Ontario put the Tigers on the score board with a 16 yard run but their try for two on a run failed leaving the score 20-6, when the final buzzer sounded and a win for the Madras White Buffaloes.
